Why Procurement and Contract Professionals need a Personal Brand — Part 1
Do you think that having a Personal Brand as a Procurement, Supply Chain or Commercial Contract Management Professional is essential?
The answer is probably — NO.
It is a necessity moving forwards. You need to have people who know who you are before they know you if you want to guarantee long-term success in your field, to have plentiful job offers, opportunities and paid work regardless of market conditions.
A Personal Brand does not necessarily mean that you need to take a selfie a day, couple it with a go-getter caption and plaster it over LinkedIn. You could though — it would probably be a good thing to do so long as you did it consistently.
A Personal Brand in these areas needs to be thought out and you want to be considered a thought leader. A thought leader is that person who people turn to when they need help or guidance with a specific issue.
Whether you are incredible at drafting contract clauses, writing Requests for Proposals, utilising software solutions such as SAP, Oracle, Tealbrook or anything else and whether you are the best of the best in forming relationships. This is what you post content about.
